A very happy band of 74 red and green Christmas clad golfers took to the course early today to celebrate the end of another great year of golf at our beautiful course. Nicki and Chas greeted us for our early start on a hot, drizzly summer morning. How fortunate we were that the cloud cover remained to make the heat and humidity bearable. Sounds of great laughter and fun echoed across the course - some to celebrate great golf, others to have a laugh at themselves on this fun team day. Outright winners on the day with a fabulous 81 points were the team consisting of Sally Hopkins (11),Janice Adlard (15), Gina Mesiti (29) and Mary Strada (40).  1st Runners/up with an equally great score of 80 points were the team made up of Kerry Moore (45), Carole Malyon (32), Debbie Lorking (45) and Jan Gee (30). 2nd Runners/up with 78 points was the team consisting of Nell Spargo (26), Gabriella Catanzariti (19), Cheryl Baker (20) and Nancy Carey-Berryman (32), and 3rd Runners/up with a very creditable

What fun was it for our team partner to be drawn out of the hat! Made for great competition on the day. The winners on the day with an aggregate score of a great 71 were Marnie I'Anson and Margaret Thorpe. The team of Annette McInnes and Jeanice Gibson were just pipped at the post with a very creditable aggregate of 70. Great game ladies. Your Committee for 2015 attended the District Committee Day, Monday 24th at Morisset Golf Club We played 9 holes in very hot and humid weather, so lucky it was only 9 holes. Deanne Curby and Helen Ingle came 2nd, well done girls.  After which there was a lunch where each committee member sits at a table of eg: Secretaries or Captains, it is a great opportunity to get to know the ladies from the other Clubs on the coast and to discuss how some of the other clubs do things and gain some different insights into how things are being done elsewhere. This year they inducted a new Life Member, Judy Swanson, from Shelly Beach Club who has held various positions previously on the District for many years. They also inducted a new Councilor on to the District Committee our very own Molly Chapman.   Congratulations well done and well deserved.   Terrigal now has 2 very prominent Ladies on Joan O'Connell is a life member and now Molly. Winning Pairs on the day were: Melbourne Cup Divas, Monica and Mel beat the fatigue of a late return flight to win on the day with 46 points; Di Connelly and Nell Spargo followed with 44 points; Noela Hilbert and Chris Whalan came in next with 43 points on a count back from Moya Allen and Viv Ball also with 43 points.  The President's team in white were the overall winners on the day. 9-Hole Competition: Di Jackson was our winner this week Special thanks to Molly Chapman for lending a hand once again checking cards.

Congratulations to Sally Hopkins for winning the Seniors Division 1 Nett competition last Monday. Also to Lucy Strada for her win of the Division 3 Vets. Well done girls!!

Last Thursday was a magnificent day for golf - for a lot of us not such a magnificent day for scoring. However there were some brilliant scores particularly by our hard working Captain, Jenny and Jeanice Gibson. Once again our course was a picture despite those tricky greens! Division 1:   Winner J. Chapman with 62 nett. Runner up was D. Ind with 65 nett. Gross winner was S. Hopkins with 78 strokes. Division 2:   Winner N. Carey-Berryman with 65 nett. 1st Runner up was M. Corner with 67 nett on a count back from N. Spargo also with 67 nett. Gross winner was N. Spargo with 94 strokes. Division 3:    Winner J. Gibson with 60 nett!  1st runner up was E. With Black clouds and alarming weather warnings some of our Ladies ventured up to Morisset to take part in their Pink Day.   A great day was had by all 5 groups, and the bad weather waited till after we had had our fun. Also a big congratulations to Morisset to a very well run and great fun day

What a fabulous day with great scoring. Wow, what a fantastic day Nicki organised for Breast Cancer and for all of us to enjoy. Not only is Nicki our talented golf professional, but an organiser, photographer and cook! Obviously a huge amount of work was done by Nicki to get everything sponsored, ordering in clothes, breakfast treats, golf balls on arrival, a great range of raffle prizes and even making the 'Pink' cake. Your efforts were very much appreciated by us all. A huge number of Members turned up for the day in their pink. This Thursday, 2 October, is our chance to show our determination to raise as much money as we can to fight for a cure for Breast Cancer.  Come dressed to the nines in pink.  Nicki, our wonderful golf pro, has organised a great day for us. There will be clothing for sale with 10% of sales going to the cause. The charge for the day is $20. Remember it is a shotgun start 7 30 for 8am.

Morisset Breast Cancer Day:   Only those five teams who sent their names to Morisset have been accepted for their annual pink day.  We have only just received the actual details for the day, only to be told that the day has been fully subscribed.  Would the members of those five teams please pay $30 to Moya tomorrow, 25 September as the money has to be sent away immediately.  Sorry to those members who waited for the official notification. Foursomes Championships:  Tomorrow, 25 September, is the last day to register and pay your $4 for your team of 2 for this club event. Central Coast Women's Golf Assn (CCWGA) :   in order to enter one, two or three days of the CCWGA District Tournament days you need to pay $20 for each day to Moya TOMORROW 25 September. The 10 and 11 November are for the singles tournament and 12 November is the team of 4 event. Cheryl Ledger Michelle and Judi Eaton Three Terrigal teams competed in the Gwen Thompson Shield today at Toukley Golf Course under very wet conditions.  The team members were Nicky Draper, Nareda Leary and Janice Adlard, Helen Ingle, Kerry Mc Inerney and Jenny Chapman, Michelle Collyer, Cheryl Ledger and Judi Eaton. The Team of Michelle Collyer, Cheryl Ledger and Judi Eaton won the individual game on a count back with +10 and as a Club in the Shield we came 2nd with +17 to Morisset who won with an amazing +25 Well done Ladies, it does seem to be Terrigal's year,  especially when it comes to competing at Toukley, first we scooped the pools at their invitation day, then we won the Charity day Trophy and now today's effort The Three Teams

August was a month of celebrations for our irrepressible  IONE CLARKE  as she had multiple celebrations for her 80th birthday. CONGRATULATIONS IONE!!  Ione joins a wonderful group of talented golfers over 80 who take part in our weekly 18 hole competition. You inspire all of us!

After an inspection by the grounds committee it was decided that tomorrow's 2nd round of the Club Championships will go ahead. It will be preferred lie thru the greens.

Fantastic news our team of Aiki Harrigan, Janice Adlard, Sally Hopkins, Michelle Lee, Marnie L'Anson, Colleen Henry,  Judi Eaton, Cheryl Ledger, Peggy Searle and Chris Baddock bought home the Brisbane Water Ladies Golf Assn Charity Day trophy. Our ladies played at Toukley in atrocious conditions on Monday 18 August in a field of ninety ladies representing all central coast clubs.  Not only did Terrigal ladies win the overall day, Colleen Henry was the individual winner on the day with 37 points. Marnie and Colleen also won closest fro the pin. CONGRATULATIONS to you all!! The last time Terrigal won a district charity day was 2002! The CCWGA charity for 2014 is Multiple Sclerosis.  Total raised from the District together with contributions from central coast clubs was $11,000.  The whole of this amount will be used to assist central coast MS sufferers with equipment or home alterations to make life easier for them.  Terrigal Ladies Golf donated $500 from money raised at our Charity
