Perfect conditions for golf with 60 ladies in the field. "how did you go?" is the usual question as you reach the Club House...................... As always the honesty of our ladies is something that puts a smile on your face :) "the company was great but we won't talk about the golf" "Beautiful day shame about the golf" "terrible I played aweful but there is always next week" Then we have comments like "I played well (no score mentioned)" "Yes I had a good game (no score mentioned)" "Yes I was happy with how I played (maybe they slip in the score quietly)" Then the score board comes up and all is revealed.............................!!!!!!! Well a full field was there for the CCWGA Opening Day at Everglades. After some very hot golf days this summer it was a wonderful change to have some very pleasant weather conditions. As is almost par for the course we had some winning teams. 3rd with a score of 81 was Jenny Chapman, Anne Glance, Yvonne Boardman and Pam Johnson 4th with a score also of 81 was Lynne Cattaway, Sharon Harper, Mel Sheekey and Moya Allen. Michele Hughes had a NTP on the 4th. and the teams of Gabriella Catanzariti, Elaine Clarke, Ronalda Arnott, and Lucy Strada and Janice Gibson, Aiki Harrigan, Molly Russell-Smith and Di Laws won balls. Our raffle winners were Di Laws and Molly Russell-Smith. Well done ladies a great day of golf. 

Another hot day on the golf course with lots of very red faces returning to the club. 55 ladies faced up to play the first round of Stroke, the first GNSW Medal and the start of the continuous comp for 2017. Our Division 1 ladies showed their good form with very good scores, none better than our Nell Spargo who blitzed the field with a fantastic 65 nett.
