Fundraiser for Dee Barham's "Days for Girls" project

The Inner Wheel Club of North Gosford warmly invites you to join them for a Garden Party (Afternoon Tea) to be held at East Gosford Progress Hall on Saturday afternoon 24 OCTOBER from 2 to 4pm. This afternoon is to raise funds to support the "Days for Girls" North Gosford Sewing Group. Gloria Buttsworth from Days for Girls Australia will be the Guest Speaker. Tickets for this event are $20 each. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting Dee Barham on 0414799978. You can help Dee by making some jams, pickles, etc and/or encouraging a few people to attend.

Singles Knock-Out

The final of the singles knock out between Viv Ball and Di Connolly was played this morning, in ideal conditions.  There was lots of good golf played by both ladies but Di was eventually declared the winner 4 and 3.  Congratulations Di and well done to you both for some great match play golf throughout the competition.

Morisset Open Day Tuesday 25th August

After a very wet Monday, Tuesday dawned and was a lovely day for golf. We had two teams of 4 head to Morisset -  Lynne Cattaway, Veneice Higgins, Colleen Henry and Rhonda Boothman, as well as Jenny Chapman, Nell Spargo, Anne Glance and Kerrie McInerney. Alas, Morisset proved to be the champions of their course as they took out all the placings from 1st through to 5th. Lynne's team won a ball and Rhonda Boothman won a raffle.

Breakers does well again!

Today we had three teams compete in the Central Coast Womens' Golf Assn 3BBB Final of the Gwen Thompson Shield at Morisset.    Competing on behalf of Breakers were Sandra Kunze, Pam Crowe and Jenny Chapman; Carol Stratford, Mary Strada and Debbie Lorking and Anne Glance, Dee Barham and Deanne Curby. Morisset won the 3team event securing the Gwen Thompson Shield for their club. Our team of Anne Glance, Dee Barham and Deanne Curby took out 2nd place in the daily team event with a score of +9. Well done girls!

Another beautiful day for the second round of our Club Championships. Dry weather, together with great management from Wayne and his team, has our course in fabulous condition with lots of run on the fairways and lightning fast greens. These conditions saw some great results today. Congratulations to all The Winners in the first week of Championships, also Amazing results at Charity Day and  well done to Susan and Elaine for winning the Stableford Broach. I also heard we had great results at the Toukley Team Day.  Keep up the good game everyone and good golf to all for the rest of the Championships.. Canada is beautiful, the scenery is amazing and today we had a game of golf on a most beautiful golf course called Silvertip. see everyone in 3 weeks.   Judi

63 ladies enjoyed a sunny day with the course drier and providing much appreciated 'run' for the first day of our Club Championships. Results for this round were as follows: Division 1. Toukley Charity Day 4th August

A Contingent of about 6 teams (24 players) headed to Toukley for an early shot gun start.            On one of our coldest mornings this winter Breakers Wamberal did themselves proud with Margaret Harrowell, Debbie Lorking, Jan Gee, and Kerrie McInerney coming in second with a score of 98 (winning score 101).  The team of Cheryl Ledger, Di Connolly, Colleen Henry, and Aiki Harrigan coming a close 3rd on 95.                 Jenny Chapman won NTP,  Michelle Collyer Div 1 and Anne Glance Div 2 straightest drive. Most other players also won a ball. And of course our raffle winner was Lynne Cattaway.
