RULE OF THE WEEK....TEMPORARY WATER!

With the current course conditions and forecast for the next week or so, it is important to know what happens if your ball is in what used to be called casual water but is now officially known as temporary water. As with many rules, most of what you need to know is found in the definitions , this one on page 148 of the small rule book, which I quote below. TEMPORARY WATER: Any temporary accumulation of water on the surface of the ground (such as puddles from rain or irrigation or an overflow from a body of water) that is not in a penalty area , and can be seen before or after you take a stance (without pressing down excessively with your feet). It is not enough for the ground to be merely wet, muddy or soft or for the water to be momentarily visible as you step on the ground; an accumulation of water must remain present either before or after your stance is taken. Well I wouldn't of put money on us playing today however 27 ladies played and not a drop of rain came. Reminders

 Afternoon ladies just a reminder we will be booking in for the District event being held on Thursday November 12th tomorrow. Michelle is happy to book teams of 4 in after golf tomorrow. If you don't have a team just book in as per usual and teams can be formed that way. We have lots of prizes that have been donated from the district so don't miss out.  Also a change to the diary event on Nov 26th this will be a Par event instead of Stableford. Tomorrow is Medal of Medals good luck to all ladies who qualified. Praying for no more rain 🙏🙏🙏. Unfortunately the auditorium is booked tomorrow so we will only have access to the cafe/bar area. News from the District

At our recent AGM, following the changes to our Constitution, our two Counsellors have now become Life Members of CCWGA, joining Joan O’Connell, Judy Swanson and Ellen Rae. Congratulations to Mollie Chapman and Di Thomlinson. We thank you both so much for your participation and enthusiasm for golf on the Central Coast over many years. Pamela Johnston President CCWGA MOLLIE CHAPMAN Mollie has been playing golf on the Central Coast since 1967, when she joined Tuggerah Lakes (now Shelly Beach) after moving from North Ryde. She was on a single figure handicap for many years and often held the role of the Captain of the Tuggerah Div 1 Pennant team. She is now a Platinum Life Member at Shelly Beach. Her expertise and knowledge were invaluable in the early 1970s when she joined Terrigal, (now Breakers) as one of the first lady members. She was handicapper, captain or secretary there for many years, winning multiple club championships, ladies Foursomes championships and mixed Foursomes champi
