Toukley Visit

Hi ladies our calendar event for visiting Toukley is fast approaching. The date is July 5th. If anyone would like to attend please comment on the facebook page or text me so I can add you to the list, also let me know if you require a cart and if you want to play with another lady member from Toukley or Breakers. I need to send the list to Di George (Toukley Captain) by the 24th June. Cheers Michelle

Important Information to Members

Hi Ladies Circumstances over the past two years have meant the running of golf and committee decisions have needed to be constantly adapted and regular face to face communication has been difficult. At the same time we have been transitioning into management under Mounties which is still developing. These changed circumstances have led to the Committee reviewing the size, structure and operation of the Committee. We feel it needs to be streamlined. We welcome any input you may have. Any changes suggested will not be implemented without discussion with you and the approval of members at the AGM. The date of the AGM could be as early as July or as late as October depending on a decision from Mounties.   At this stage, we have many of the present committee not seeking re-election. Positions that will need to be filled by new people are— President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Computer Co-ordinator, Captain, Vice Captain (which is already vacant) and several com

PEARL CARD & GOLF FEES

Hi everyone.                                             ðŸ’²ðŸ’²ðŸ’²ðŸ’² Hopefully you have all received emails recently to let you know two important things. Firstly, if you had any money on your Pink Pearl Rewards card, it will expire on 31st August, as the Pearl Rewards Program has come to an end. You should spend your balance before this date. Secondly, the perfect way to use any money you have here is to use it to help pay your golf membership fees, which are now up for renewal. You will note that, as we were told earlier, the fees have not increased and are again at $440 for ladies and $450 for men. The simplest thing to do is to pay at the club. If you aren't sure how much is on your Pearl card, you can check yourself by clicking on the link in the email which was sent recently, or ask for assistance at the club. Alternatively, you can use your Pearl card at any EFTPOS terminal if you know your code. You simply select the option of Savings when you do so. Once you have used all th

17 ladies set out to play 18! 3 didn't make it but where accounted for and not lost in the mud.  Congratulations to Colleen winning with 38 points, Sally 2nd with 36 points and Chun 3rd with 33 points. 4 ladies came prepared and served them well! 😎😂

SATURDAY PRIZES

Hi Ladies, I have been asked by several ladies why winners of Ladies Saturday singles don't get the same prize each week. Firstly, it does depend on whether there is a team event as well. If there is, the singles prizes are less, as some of the money will go to the team prize winners. Secondly, it will depend on how many women play. The more people in the event, the more money is awarded. Sometimes this may appear as more for each of the winners or it may be more winners, again depending on the total players. Hopefully that helps a little. Cheers, Jenny

Pennants 2022 and Calendar Changes to note!

A decision has been made to cancel 2022 Pennants due to on going rain and courses unable to host the event when needed. CCWGA Seniors Day and Foursomes have been swapped in the calendar. This means that the Foursomes will be played at Gosford on 27th June and the Seniors Day will be at Everglades on 25th July. This is so as many carts can be available for seniors day.

WYONG CLASSIC AND SHIELD

WYONG LADIES CLASSIC AND SHIELD UPDATE FROM WYONG CAPTAIN After much consideration, the team at Wyong have decided to once again postpone the Wyong Classic & Shield from May 27 until OCTOBER 21, 2022 Although the course is slowly improving from the flooding and continued high rainfall, we are concerned that we will not be able to offer the use of carts, which many of the players have requested. We trust that our course will be returned to pristine condition by then. We appreciate your understanding and continued support at this difficult time. Entries will be transferred to this new date. However, full refunds will be given to anyone who requests it.

RESULTS for today!

Well I had to see it for myself and yep wow wow wow! Our beautiful course is seriously a mess. We need a lot of sun and wind to bring it back to what we new as our Breakers golf Course!  11 ladies teed off 4 dropped after 9.... then there was 7! This gave us a comp with 1 division. Pauline was the stand out with 33 points to win the money. 3 Balls went to Pauline, Bronwyn and Gabriella. We only had NTP on the 2nd for 3 divisions. Sue Frankham 1st division and Pauline Norman 3rd Division. We have been advised this afternoon from tomorrow the course will be played with TEE UP THROUGH THE GENERAL AREA. Please ask at the pro shop if you have any queries as to how this works. This applies to all competition and social play! Well I have to go hose down my buggy, shoes, towel, clubs, balls, tees, golf clothes, socks and ok UNDERWEAR!!!! 😂 Cheers Ladies and may the golf gods shine down on us!!!! 😊 Michelle

Ball Redemption and Mixed Foursomes

Ladies please be aware there has been a problem with the system and redeeming balls at the moment is not possible. Until Micro power has fixed the problem we are suspending ball collection. We will let you know when this has been fixed! Mixed Foursomes has been postponed again and the new date is August 27th.

DIDN'T FINISH 18 HOLES....WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR CARD

Here's another question that has come up recently. What should you do with your card, and on the computer, if you choose to stop before you finish 18 holes? Given that you are in the competition for the day, there are things to consider, as your score will be sent to Golflink for handicapping. Firstly, in Stableford and Par, the simplest thing to do is to record wipes for the holes you didn't finish, ensure your card is signed by player and marker, and scan your card as usual. This keeps you in the competition and records the score you have as your total, as if you had finished. This does not work in Stroke though, as you would be disqualified from the comp for failing to score on some holes. However, you should still ensure your card is handed in.  It's best for the rest of your group to keep your card and hand it in with theirs. Often we see people write DID NOT FINISH on a card like this but this does not give the committee all the information they need. Rather we need
