Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

Our club was very well represented at the District Mixed Foursomes on Sunday, with six pairs competing at Toukley golf club. Congratulations to Mel Sheekey and Nick Merritt who won the trophy with a score of 82.

With Championships finished it was back to Stableford today...........gotta love being able to count those 1 pointers, they never looked so good 😂 Sometimes you get to witness ladies giving any shot a go! Today Di Ind didn't shy away from her ball sitting in a little bit of water. Instead she rolled up her sleeves and gave it her best shot. 👌 Special mention to Charmaine Armbruster who scored a 2/5 on the 6th and Di Ind scored a 2/4 on the 15th. Morisset held their open day today. This was a team event 2 scores to count. Breakers didn't make the podium 🥇. This didn't matter as our three teams had a great day and once again our club shirts got a great wrap from many players. So clearly we would of made the podium for best dressed 😎 Our two standouts today where Charmaine Armbruster taking nearest the pin on the 2nd and Jan Gee was the straightest drive winner. Congratulations to both ladies. It didn't stop there, Breakers took out two of the 100's club numbers taking home $25 each Congratulations to Charmaine Ambruster and Michelle Hughes 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💲💲💲

It was nice to finish  our club championships with no weather interruptions this year.  57 ladies out on the course and the one that everyone knew was out there was Michelle C............. with her call of the day "SIT SIT SIT". The day started out a bit miserable with a fine shower following most players for half the day however this didn't stop any one playing or playing their best as we have 2 Ladies to congratulate from today's event at Gosford. Sally Hopkins was the over all winner 👏 and Bronwyn Dwyer was runner up in C Grade Gross 👏 We also had a winner in the raffles Jan Hoban 🎉

 Amazing weather at Morisset for golf, I know I got a chance to work on my tan 😎 We certainly turned up and stood out once again in our club shirts. We had 4 ball winners today: Jan Gee Di Connolly Mel Sheekey Jenny Chapman Nell Spargo won one of the 3 raffles.

The 2nd round of Championships was played under perfect conditions 😎. Every one of our 56 starters had a story to tell of their birdies, gobblers and it was so close it was almost a Hole in One 😆. We are still waiting for the rain to come............................. The golf gods looked after us today, with some fear in the air that the rains were coming to put a dampener on our Club Championships. 61 ladies made their way around the course with sun shining. Hopefully everyone enjoyed it and managed to just enjoy the company they had for the day, no matter if it was a good or bad game.
