Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

  Today we started our fundraising for our Pink Day next October.  The  multitude of patchwork pieces, which were the prizes, were all generously made and donated by our life member Georgie Quill. Many thanks to Georgie - you are amazing!! There were big smiles across all the lucky winner's faces. The table runner was auctioned off with a number of very competitive bidders vying to win it - the winner being Nicky. Thanks Nicky for your generosity. Entry was by donation only and we raised a total of $351.90. Thanks to everyone who donated so generously.

 What a beautiful day to be out on the golf course bright and early!! 53 ladies teed off today, playing an Irish Stableford. Congratulations to the winners.  Tomorrow's game is an Irish Stableford which is a team event: 1 score to count on the first 6 holes, 2 scores on the next 6 and 3 scores on the last 6. DO NOT SCORE ON THE APP!!! Individual cards will be printed and the computer will work out the results. Come and have fun. Don't forget Secret Santa afterwards if you want to join in.

  Congratulations to the three division winners today, Sally, Colleen and Christa, of the Periwinkle Cup, all having a massive 38 points. A huge thanks to Nicky and AJ for their generosity. These ladies are now included in the Periwinkle Cup for ladies on Saturday. This will be followed by a Secret Santa for anyone who wants to join in, with gifts being to the value of up to $20. 7th December is our AGM and Presentation, commencing at 11:30 am.  Deanne is taking table bookings, preferably tables of 6, although there are some 8's. We are still looking for one more nomination for a Committee person and also a nomination for President. 

  Morning Ladies, So far I have nominations for:  Captain Treasurer Secretary 3 x Committee Members This means that there are no nominations for President or 3 x Committee members. Our club needs a President.   Please consider nominating for one of these vacancies.  Next year the role of the committee will not be as demanding, as the scoring app will take over a lot of the work done after each game.  I will have nomination forms available on Thursday, if you cannot print one off from the AGM email sent out recently.  Congratulations to those ladies who won a Monthly Medal during the year and qualified to play in the Medal of Medals today. With a spectacular nett 61, our Medal of Medals winner was Debbie Lorking. (There goes the handicap!!) The gross over the field was won by Michelle Collyer with 87 off the stick.
