Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

 It was a beautiful day for golf. Course was much improved on last week. Hopefully we don't get too much of the rain that is forecast for the weekend.  Our ladies travelled to Gloucester to play in the Vets Week of Golf last week. Gill Wilson won the 54 hole comp with 98 points. Linda Ball was runner up with 95 points.  Linda won the VGA Shield. Sheryn Fuller won the last day with 35 points. Our men also cleaned up. Breakers are persona non grata for next year. (They also won the raffle.)

Another beautiful fine day and despite the wet conditions under foot there were  some great scores. Congratulations to our monthly medal winners Trace , Briony and Carol. Next week is a par event and hopefully dryer conditions.

 Back to golf today with lovely sunshine and some fun scores on our shortend course. Can all pennant players let Sally and Janice know if they are not available on the 24th of June and the 1ST of July as these are wet weather catch up dates. Results can be viewed on your own personal portal.

 Hi all, The course for tomorrow has been shortened because of water still affecting the fairways - it is still very wet! Some holes will be very short others as normal.  All the holes will be as per the card/app but no results will be posted to Golflink.  We will still play in divisions if we have the numbers and prizes will be allocated as normal, including a ball comp.  There will no longer be a stableford brooch round nor will it be a qualification for the district charity day. These will be played at a later date.  We will still have a presentation with raffles and 100 club.  See you tomorrow

 Congratulations to our Pennants team who played at Everglades against Shelley Beach today. They had a decisive win....... winning 8-2 👏👏👏 

 Due to the current wet weather, it was felt that the golf calendar needed to be changed to accommodate medal rounds, etc. So..... This Thursday is Stableford. Thursday 16th is Stableford, 4th District Brooch and qualifying for the District Charity Day.  (This will be on on 19th August at Magenta.) It is also a Vets ball, so the cost is $22. 23rd is Monthly Medal, 3rd GNSW Medal, Mable McKenzie Brooch. 30th is Par. There is a 9 hole competition available on all these days. If you wish to play 9 holes, please call the Pro Shop to book in with your 9 hole partner. Let's hope the weather gods come to the party!!

 Good morning. The Foursomes Championships scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed. The course is closed today, and so would be unplayable for that prestigious event tomorrow. The reserve date is August 22nd. If the course is open and you wish to play tomorrow, there will be a single Stableford event scheduled. Otherwise, see you for coffee at 11 am.
