Charity day

Yesterday was one of our most successful Charity days. We raised$2345. Amazing! Thankyou everyone for the support and fantastic donations. Thankyou to all the businesses who supported our cause.  Our winners of our team game were Michelle, Chun, Bronwyn and Sally. They used their cheat sheets very carefully.  Saturday sees the opening of our new 9th green. It’sgoing to be very interesting to see how it plays!  Next Thursday is Stableford and qualifying for the district charity day.

Thursday Charity Day

Thursday Keno

Thursday Keno Ambrose.  A wonderful day even though it was chilly to start and the concrete being poured.  Congratulations to Monica and Sarah who won the day and Sally and Colleen who were runners up. They now are able to go the next event in October.  Next week is our charity day. We can still enter teams and one team needs a player. Let Aiki know if you are able to fill in.  Bring money for cheat sheets and the monster raffle. We have been inundated with prizes. Thanking all of you for your efforts.

Update for Thursday

A few reminders: Keno on Thursday. $5 per team. 1/4 handicap and 6 drives each. Charity Day. Get your team organised if not all ready.  If you are able to please bring your donations this Thursday so the committee can organise them into groups for the raffle. Like last year there will be numerous prizes and a box to put your ticket into the one you would most like to win.

Thursday's Stableford

Image
The wind today was howling but thank heavens we played on a short course. Some people more successfully than overs. Congratulations to all the winners. Next week is the Keno Ambrose. Book in with your partner for Thursday. The men's club are also hosting a mixed Keno Ambrose on Saturday with a turkey dinner. Book in Friday 11th July for this event. Don't forget Charity Day is in two weeks time. All donations should be in next week. See Susan or update your list on Facebook so thank you certificates can be generated. If you weren't here today and you do have a team send it to Susan so you can be put on the timesheet for the shotgun start.

Thursday urgent update

Urgent update. Because the concreters are working on the 9 th tomorrow we have to change the game from monthly medal to a Stableford. Also there will be hole modifications to accommodate this and the still very muddy areas.  Please read the instructions that Nicky will have in the morning. Also as a consequence the game will not be handicapped. We will catch up with all monthly medals as part of the championships.

Update

It looks like our game will go ahead on Thursday.  Green Fees are now $22  The following week is the Keno Ambrose. It is $5 per pair and you have a chance to progress right through to Bonville if you keep winning!  There is a 9 hole Stableford available on that day as well.  Entries are as normal, on the portal after 3pm.  The following week is our Charity day. The game is a team of 4 countdown Stableford , shotgun start 8 for 8.30. If you have a team organised let Peggy or Susan Frankham know and we will organise the timesheet as soon as it up.  Remember to think about what you can contribute to the dsy whether it is lots of cheat sheets or putting together a raffle prize.
