Everglades Open Day 12/4/16

Breakers had another very good showing at Woy Woy on Tuesday with about six teams of 4 representing the club.   The  team of Judy Eaton, Cheryl Ledger, Michelle Collyer and Di Connolly coming in a very creditable second on 73 points one point off the leaders.

Judy Eaton and Helen Ingle had nearest the pins and Holly Akers had the straightest drive in Division One. 

Alas we were not raffle winners this time a first for a long time.

 In the second session Jan Portelli was in the winning Shelly team on 82 points.
(Lucky not to have had the rain that the 1st session had).
 
Lynne Howell's Magenta team also did well.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
