Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

Below are the results from yesterday's competition. 51 Ladies played in perfect conditions. The 2018 Stableford Shootout is on Monday 15th October commencing at 12noon. The Shoot Out will be followed with afternoon tea. We need to know if you intend coming by next Thursday - 4 October for catering purposes. 57 of you paid $10 at the start of the year in order to contest the Shoot Out or attend the Afternoon Tea.

PINK DAY 2018 Thursday 4 October is our special fun, fundraising day for Cancer. There will be Cheat Sheets for $5 each; this will be a fun team event. We want as many members or golfing friends to come and join in the fun! Guests may also come just for the Raffle and Auction. There will be great prizes to win in the Raffle - a set of golf clubs donated by Henderson Golf; a $350 Voucher to spend at the Pro Shop donated by Retire Australia. A silent auction will be run for 2 A Reserve tickets to see The Australian Ballet production of Cinderella at the Opera House for their matinee performance at 1.30pm on Wednesday 5th December which also includes a Souvenir Program signed by a Principal Artist from the Australian Ballet. These tickets are valued at $600. A minimum starting bid of $300 has been set for these tickets. Get a friend to join you and share the bidding! Even if you can't come you can contact Colleen to place your bid.  

Results from today’s HRDGA V’S CCWGA Written by Kim Burke In spite of the persistent showers a truly wonderful inaugural team event challenge was held today against our neighbouring Hunter River District. Huge thank you’s to Team Captain, Yvonne and all our district committee ladies who helped make this happen.  👏 👏 Think it’s fair to say we were all very chuffed and honoured to be CCWGA representatives. 🤗 Many thanks to the Toukley morning tea ladies and all the hardy spectators who cheered us on.  👏 😊 👍 Thought I’d share some of the pics taken today....Thank you Susan Castaway for your great camera work! 👍  My opponent Liz White has written a story that should be up on the Golf NSW website in the next few days with all the event details.

  Not only are there some pretty amazing golfers at Breakers we are pretty good at trivia too it seems. Winners are grinners.   Well done everyone.      

Not a bad turn up today considering the weather wasn't the best and it was a Par event! 46 ladies turned it into a 2 division comp today as there were only 8 playing in 3rd division so we combined the 2nd and 3rd divisions. There were a few obstacles to play with today. The freshly laid turf and the sand cover on some fairways slowed the ball up considerably. The temporary greens showed much more improvement from last week. After coring the greens they have come back very nicely thanks to the grounds staff. Yesterday was the Gosford invitational. Breakers had 7 ladies join the Gosford ladies in a team event Las Vegas Ambrose. Our stand out team with Janice Adlard and Bronwyn Dwyer joining Sally’s team. These ladies had an amazing score of 64 which was a 55.175 Nett. ( check out the photo of there card below) 9 birdies and 9 Pars.  👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 Jenny Chapman’s team came 3rd and Debbie Lorking’ team came 4th Jan Portelli and Michelle Hughes’s team also placed receiving a ball. Winning didn’t stop there as we had Jan Portelli, Bronwyn Dwyer, Debbie Lorking and Jenny Chapman pick up a raffle prize.  🏌🏼‍♀️ 🍾 💪🏻

Congratulations to the President's side for winning yesterday. We have had three successful ladies from Breakers playing in the NSW Veterans 2 day competition. Judi Eaton 1st in 2nd Div on Monday Gabriella Catanzariti came 1st in Div 1 on Tuesday Moya Allen won visitors ladies in 2nd Div on Tuesday Judi Eaton 5th Overall for 36 holes👏👏👏 They have a days rest today and then up to Wauchope for another two days of competition. Good Luck ladies and have a great time. Bring on the Captain v's President's day tomorrow. The Greens have been cored so just putt and hope for the best 😂 Don't forget to wear Cool colours if you are playing for the Captain's side and get your HOT colours out for the Presidents teams.
