Well we tried! Some people tried harder than others, but did look rather bedraggled and discombobulated when they came in after slogging their way through 18 holes.
Most of the wimps went home.The good news is that it was amazingly dry underfoot. In fact, it was very hard to believe after the pictures we all saw just a few days ago. It was just the stuff that was coming down from the sky that turned us off.
The decision was made to enter all scores into the computer as it is the start of our Continuous Comp and so the eclectic scores deserved to be recorded. Also, since we all paid our money and started, the scores had to be sent to Golflink. Fortunately, they will be recorded as Stableford, which doesn't sound quite as bad as the nett results on the portal.
Congratulations to Wendy Fox for a fabulous score of 67 nett. Runner up was Di Connolly with 73. Janice Adlard won the gross over the field with 95.
Monthly medals went to Di Ind, Wendy Fox and Denise Newman.
