Message from the Committee

We’ve been going through unsettling times of late and no doubt the closure of our golf course has set us all back a bit.
Our thoughts go out to Nicky and Chas and to Club management for the decisions that have had to be made.
But we are very lucky to live where we do and that we can still get out and exercise.  It’s also important to keep in touch.
We should all look forward to the celebration we will enjoy together once this is over.
Our thoughts go out to those in our group who are ill, or recovering from illness or injury.  On a brighter note at the moment you are not missing out on any more golf than the rest of us.
Please be in touch via our fb page.  Our Club through many committees has always been great in supporting each other and this is an important time to keep the culture of our Club going.
We wish everyone well.  Keep safe and healthy and also keep smiling.

Results for Foursomes 27 Hole Championships and 18 and 9 Hole Day Events 4th May 2023

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. The link to that page is below: https://fundraise.hollows.org/fundraisers/jennychapman   The Fred Hollows Foundation works in over 25 countries and has helped over 3 million people. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
