INFORMATION UPDATE

KOOINDAH OPEN DAY

This has been rescheduled from earlier in the year to Friday 30th October. If you are unable to play please contact Kooindah Pro Shop by 23rd October. If you aren't sure whether you entered, Nell will have all team details next Thursday.

CHAMPIONSHIPS

Thanks to those who followed instructions and entered today. Entries are still open so please bring your correct money in an envelope with all details on it prior to golf next Thursday. $5 for Championships and $3 for Vets.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Due to COVID 19, the club cannot book groups of more than 10 so next week please check whether the auditorium is available after golf.

At our recent committee meeting, it was decided to delay a decision on our end of year Christmas luncheon depending again on COVID 19.

Similarly, we are unsure whether the AGM will go ahead as planned. If it doesn't go ahead, there is provision for it to be held asap. Until then, the current committee will continue in their roles. On this topic, we are very pleased to welcome Gill Wilson to the committee to replace Charmaine. There may be two other positions which will need to be filled so please give it some thought and if you are at all interested, please talk to a committee member for further details.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. The link to that page is below: https://fundraise.hollows.org/fundraisers/jennychapman   The Fred Hollows Foundation works in over 25 countries and has helped over 3 million people. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
