Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

 Day 1 of champs and we had perfect conditions! The course was presented beautifully by the Craig and the boys....... the fairway definition was highly commended. Michelle Collyer with 86 points is in the lead by 1 shot to Janice Adlard, followed by Michelle Hughes finishing with a 92 and then Linda Ball and Aiki on 94 points. With two rounds to go there are many in contention in all divisions........ best of luck to all playing next week! 🏌  There were a lot of stories and quotes to come from today.......... starting with Gill Wilsons 17th hole. Gill hit into the water with swear words to follow (however this page is monitored so can't be repeated here and we will leave it to your imagination!😂😂😂). The ball landed on a ducks back and with the fright it  got flew out of the water carrying the ball and fortunately dropping metres up the fairway ( true story) .......So I would say thats a Ball of a ducks back instead of WATER!!!!!  A lot of ladies drove and played for excellence

  It was pretty hot out on the course yesterday and a group of members were stopped in their tracks as they saw this 2.5 Metre long Python  travelling across the back of the Third into the creek. The snake just wanted to cool down and looked like it was well fed and not too worried about the members. Still it doesn't hurt to be aware in these hot conditions!

Our not so friendly magpie is back swooping on and near the 5th green and on the 6th hole! 

Today was a good sized field competing in almost ideal conditions. These ladies have achieved the 10 best stableford scores throughout the year. Play will start for this after everyone has packed up their gear, hopefully by 10:00 at the latest. At the conclusion of the play there is a lunch provided for all in the club.  Please come and support our players and their caddies as they battle it out around the course.

 Just a reminder that the entry form for our Championships being held on Thursday 28th September, 5th October and 12th October. The Vets Championships are over the first two rounds. Entry is $5 plus $3 for Vets entry please see the committee over the next two Thursday's to enter. If you aren't at golf please contact Aiki to inform her of your entry.

Beautiful day to be playing golf. Greens were cored on Monday. They are already recovering quite well. The scores definitley reflect this!
