Information for Monday 11th Oct

Image
Good afternoon,   Below is a brief update on the requirements in which the club will operate under when it reopens on Monday 11 th  October that relate to our golfing members.   To enter the club, you must be a financial member and live within the Central Coast LGA. A member can bring with them one visitor each (children can be additional) which also resides within the Central Coast LGA. Members must also sign into the club using the facial recognition system and have their temperature taken.   All members and visitors over the age of 16 years must be fully vaccinated. We have also been notified of the requirements of what are acceptable forms of proof of vaccination to enter a registered club. I have attached a document which shows these forms and maybe useful for your members to see. If they have forms that do not match the accepted proof, they can arrange to get the correct documents prior to us opening on Monday. Additionally, this also shows what the medical exemption form looks l

MYSTERY TEAM OF 4 and SCANNING CARDS

Image
Don't think we've ever had a mystery team of 4. You might have had a good score but would your 3 partners? Did Merrilyn's great score of 43 mean she was in the winning teams? Yes she was! Her team had the equal best score, although they were beaten for first place by another tricky countback.  Winners were Chun Kim, Gill Wilson, Denise Earthrowl and Venice Higgin with 131c/b Second place went to Merrilyn LeQuesne, Nancy Carey-Berryman, Sandra Kunze and Aileen Davis, 131. Lucky card today was won by Chris Baddack. We won't be having any Mystery Partner events during the championships and, with any luck, we will be back to having nearest the pins after that, so we won't need this event on a weekly basis. Hope you have found it a bit of fun so that we have still been able to give out 9 balls each week, in addition to the event of the day prize winners. I will post balls asap to all those named above. Don't forget that next week we will be returning to players scann

A bit chilly this morning for the early tee times, but all in all a really good temperature to play golf all day. Nowhere near as hot as it was predicted to be. Please check your tee time. Late arrival cannot be accommodated. If you wish to play in the Day Event, you will need to call the Pro Shop to book in as the tee booking is "Read Only" on the Portal. Just a reminder that any ball you see on the course should not be picked up as it may be in play in the competition, even if no-one appears to be close to it.  Breaking News! In breaking news we are able to have a presentation again next week. So after your first round of the Championships come on in and join us for a coffee (or something bubbly) and a get together. Jenny will also be checking your contact details for the 2022 fixture book. There will be no need to book in tomorrow night and the following two weeks as it is the Championships so the draw will be done by your match committee and will be available ASAP from tomorrow.

A Message from your Match Committee

A Message from your Match Committee In light of recent comments and queries from individuals we feel, as a Match Committee, an obligation to answer them in the spirit of cooperation between the Breakers Ladies and Men’s Committees. 1                     This is the most successful men’s championship as far as entries go in recent years, requiring them to take the full day to play on both Saturday and Sunday over the two weekends. We fully support the men in making this decision. They have 416 players with handicaps compared to the ladies’ 118. The championships cannot be held on a Tuesday as this would eliminate the possibility of working members playing. 2                     A sacrifice of two weeks for the ladies is inconsequential. Bear in mind the Men have not held an 18-hole competition since 8 th August, whereas the Ladies have held 18-hole competitions throughout this time. 3                     We hope you will appreciate how difficult it has been to address and neg
