 Hi ladies some members have had trouble going on the wait list for the new 9 hole comp starting next Saturday 7th August. I have attached a photo with 3 arrows indicating what you need to do. 1: Change the time to 12:30pm (otherwise you won't be included in the comp tee times) 2: Tick the 9 hole box 3: press the add tab

 Some good news today. The balls for the last week or two have now been posted so you should be able to see that on the portal if you have been in the winners list lately!! This includes last Saturday, and Sunday and Tuesday for the men.😀

 What a beautiful day to play golf!! The scores are reflecting how well the course is drying out. Well done to the winners. Since we haven't been together for so long, I thought we should celebrate those ladies who have had birthdays this month. 7th was Viv Ball, we all saw her balloon as we went to the first tee. Then 10th Moya Allen, 14th Christa Cleary, 20th Jenny Fletcher, 22nd Jan Portelli, 23rd Charmaine Armbruster and 24th Dee Dimond. Happy Birthday to all these lovely July ladies! Another of our ladies is leaving us this week. We say goodbye to Di Jackson who is heading off to sunny Queensland to live. GOSFORD BOWL BRONZE SALVAR & LONGMARKERS TROPHY Tuesday August 24th. Unfortunately due to the extended lockdown this event will have to be CANCELLED All entry fees will be refunded in the next few weeks.

 It has been brought to my attention that some ladies have misinterpreted  Kens letter. Tuesday and Sunday's Competition is for Men only. Saturday is mixed as per usual. The only change is they are now a 9 hole competition. Ladies Thursday comp is still 18 hole's.

Please read the following email below from Ken Pearson in regards to golf on Saturday's.  Thursday's will remain 18 holes. We have recognised a few ladies do miss out on a tee time. We have decided if anyone goes on the waiting list through the portal and ends up not getting a game they will get automatic entry for the following week. Club Championships are on hold for the time being and once the next announcement from the government is made we will look at new dates. Dear Golfers, Your golfing committee had a meeting with myself and Henderson Golf to discuss the concern of members not being able to play a round of golf in competitions due to the COVID restrictions. The current restrictions only allow two players per group, resulting in the number of players being a maximum of 78 player

A Shelly Beach Womens committee decision has been made to postpone our Blue Water Classic and Long Markers Cup which were scheduled to be played on Monday 9th August. Our new date is Monday the 20th September when hopefully lockdown will be over, we are back playing in 4’s and we can hold a Presentation. We will hold everyone’s entry over but should anyone not be able to play or want a refund then please email our Treasurer, Julie Phillpot at sbgcladies@gmail.com with your bank details ( account name, bsb and account number)and she will refund your entry fee.

 Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the balls won today were not able to be put onto the winners' accounts.  Once the issue is rectified, they will be awarded. Technology is wonderful when it works!!

Well done to the winners.  https://portalpreview.micropower.com.au/breakerscc/competition/prizes?CompetitionId=214536 Here's a thought for everyone...  If you carry your sand bucket around the whole course without emptying it, then you are only moving the sand back to it's starting point.  Why don't you and your playing partner adopt a fairway each and aim to fill in as many divots as your buckets will allow? The course is getting so much use that we all need to make sure we keep it in as good a condition as possible.  There are refill points at every tee, so if you run out on one fairway, you can top there for the next.

Due to the following we have chosen to suspend our continuous comp, eclectic and point score. Please find attached the latest Covid updates in regards to our golf course. Golf has been allowed to continue in groups of two only and the pro shop cannot operate as a retail store and will only collect your fees and offer takeaway drinks and food. To assist with reducing the spread of COVID-19 Corona Virus, we recommend the following procedures are to be followed: Golfers MUST WEAR MASKS IN THE PROSHOP AND USE QR CODE BEFORE ENTERING. All pins on greens are to be left in and remove ball with hand using your gloved hand. Removal of sunscreen. No hand shaking at completion of game. All rakes will be removed from bunkers, golfers are asked to smooth the bunkers as best as possible with their feet and golf club.( a free drop in the bunker is allowed) Do not mark fellow golfers playing card, only mark your own. All water bubblers on the course will be turned off and the Pro Shop has bottled wate

Notice to Members We as golfers are very lucky that we can continue to play golf in these difficult times.   The course is currently open for competition and social rounds, you can book either through the app or by phone to the pro shop.   It is important to understand that after today’s announcement from the NSW Government Nicky can no longer operate as a retail business and as such can only sell take away (food, pies, chocolates, drinks etc) no balls, tees clothing or golf equipment.   You are not able to collect balls however if you have balls drop off during these times it will be adjusted after we get back to normal.   When you arrive at the course Nicky will be there to collect the green fees and hand out your cards.   Please remember to only arrive 15 minutes before you hit off and don’t stand around talking in groups prior to teeing off or in the carpark.   When you have completed your round please check and sign your cards, hand your cards into the pro shop where Nicky will sc

 Wow it was certainly a tough course today as shown by the results 😁The weather was on our side today with a small drizzle for the first few holes then the sun took over. After todays turn around we will have to drop 4 spots next week due to the build up. When arriving at the at any of the Par 3's and there is a build up please consider using the call up system. Quite a few of us did this today and it helped a lot. A problem we had today was ladies were not keeping a safe distance from others. If there is more then 2 groups at a tee please do not join together for a chat. It will only take someone driving past or a neighbour to report this. Also please don't congregate in the car park.  The ladies have been given a second time slot for competition on Thursdays. The first session starts at 7:30am-9:15am and the second session starts at 11:15am-12:15pm. This gives us 64 spots for our ladies. We had been averaging between 52 and 62 players so looks like everyone will get a game. Saying this from next week all scores will go towards the eclectic, point score and continuos comp.  This will open as stated at 5pm on the 15th July for all lady members. Cheers again Michelle 😅⛳

 Good morning ladies due to the 10km radius restrictions, decreased tee booking availability and the right to choose not to play during this Covid lockdown. It is only fair to put on hold our point score, eclectic and continuous comp so no one is disadvantaged. A Stableford event will be played on a week to week basis until we can go back to normal competition conditions. (Scores are still sent to Golflink). Hi ladies, next weeks charity day has been postponed for now. Next Thursday will be a Stableford event. (please see tee booking times below) To accomodate more ladies Nicky has kindly made the early tee times available for our comp days. A reminder the Pro shop is a retail store and as law you must use the QR code. If your unable to do this with your phone please ask a friend on the day to log you in on there app or ask Nicky or AJ to use the concierge page they have. Reminder for the 10km radius please don't be offended if you are turned away. The map can be viewed on the Breakers website or at the door of the pro shop. Tee bookings: until further notice are 2 players per tee.  This Thursday we have the qualifying event for the Gwen Thompson Shield. This is a 2BBB, however we are running a single Stableford event in conjunction with this event. This means that you will have a singles card and the computer will work out the teams event. Having the singles event means if your partner happens not to be able to play you still have the singles to count and will go towards your eclectic and Golflink. Our 5 top pairs will qualify to play in the district event on September 6th at Gosford. I will contact those pairs once the day is finalised. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The District Charity Day is being held on the 16th August at Magenta along side the  Stableford Brooch.
