General Meeting Notice

 The Breakers Ladies Golf Club wish to inform you that a General Meeting of members is called for Thursday 13th October 2022 commencing at 2:30 pm, after golf. The purpose of this meeting is to pass the new By-Laws which will supersede our former constitution. A copy of these is posted below on this BLOG for everyone to see and comment on. There will also be a hard copy available outside the golf office in the Club, as well as a copy of the Mounties Sub Club Constitution applicable to the Breakers Ladies Golf Club.  Once these have been passed by the membership, they will be presented to the Mounties Sports Committee and Board for approval prior to our AGM. Due to this, the AGM has been transferred to Thursday 8th December, preceding the Presentation Day Luncheon. Nominations for the 2023 committee will open on Thursday 17th November 2022. Day 1 Championship results.

Well the weather didn't look like it was on our side, however the Golf Gods where! Day one done and dusted 👏👏👏 Results:  https://golf.micropower.com.au/breakerscc/competition/results?CompetitionId=264153 Some more results from the the beginning of the week at the Toukley Classic........ a big congratulations to Bronwyn winning the best Stableford score over the field for the 36 holes. Day 1 she came away with 43 points and then backed it up on the Tuesday with 40 points. 🏆🏆🏆

Championship Draw

 You will find the championship draw on the portal for round 1 this coming Thursday. If you need to cancel or would like to play in the day event please ring Michelle on 0400378855. Handicap divisions are as normal Div 1 0-25 Div 2 26-33 and Div 3 34-45 Lets all hope for some sunshine and wind to dry out the bit of rain we have had!

 Hi ladies, the draw for next weeks championships will be done tomorrow so no need to worry about trying to enter today at 3pm. If anyone would like to play in the 18 hole daily comp please send me a message and I will add you to the end of the draw.

Comp for Today 22nd Sept

 Good morning the course is open but after 18ml of rain its wet. We will leave the stableford comp open. However we will need more than 8 players for there to be a comp. Cheers Michelle

CHARITY DAY RESULTS

Congratulations again Ladies. Once again you have shown your generosity by raising $1513.50 for our District Charity--- Coast CanCare. A breakdown of the day- Cleaning out your golf cupboards--- $432 Raffle---$680 Cheat sheets---$330 (as numbers playing were reduced thank you to those who did not play for donating extra). Towel heads and tails--- $71.50 Add to this $217 donated on our 50th Anniversary celebration and over $250 given to Toukley towards the 'hair shaving' on Charity Day. That's why we are happy to belong to such a club of such generous, caring ladies. If anyone has been unable to donate so far and would like to do so please give your donation to Deanne Curby or Linda Ball in the next couple of weeks.

Toukley Classic Monday 26th & Tuesday 27th September Draw

 I have been sent the draw via email as an excel spreadsheet. Due to how large it is I will have it with me on Thursday or if anyone would like it sent via email please send me a text or msg on facebook attaching your email and I will send it to you if your not here on Thursday.  If anyone needs to change anything or would now like to play please contact Di George on 0421331462. Gwen Thompson Shield

 The Gwen Thompson Shield was held yesterday 19th September at the gruelling Magenta course. Each club sent their 5 qualifying teams of two to play the 2ball better ball event with the best 3 team scores to win the shield. NO surprises Magenta won the shield with a 46, 38 & 38. We sent our team of Bronwyn & Michelle, Aiki & Peggy, Jeanice & Jan, Gill & Trace and Viv and Sandra. Our top 3 team scores were used from a score of 41 by Bron & Michelle, 36 points from Aiki & Peggy and 32 points from Gill & Trace. Taking tied 7th.  Michelle and Bron took tied 3rd in the individual division! Then to top the day off Michelle won a 100's club.......my shout Bron! 🍹

Charity Day Reminder This event is a team of 4 Two scores to count. Shot gun start so be there 7:30am for 8am tee off! There will be cheat sheets to purchase for $5 and you can buy as many as you like........ my prediction is the best cheater will win! 😎 Afterwards come inside for lunch and we will have raffles on sale 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. We will also have 2nd hand golf clothing for sale. If anyone would like to bring clothes in to donate all money raised will go to charity. If for any reason tomorrows golf does't go ahead pleas come to the club at around 11am for our raffles and second hand clothing.

After contacting Golf NSW Jenny and myself organised to have the course re rated for the course we used yesterday plus another two depending on weather conditions.
