Gwen Thompson Shield

 The Gwen Thompson Shield was held yesterday 19th September at the gruelling Magenta course. Each club sent their 5 qualifying teams of two to play the 2ball better ball event with the best 3 team scores to win the shield. NO surprises Magenta won the shield with a 46, 38 & 38. We sent our team of Bronwyn & Michelle, Aiki & Peggy, Jeanice & Jan, Gill & Trace and Viv and Sandra. Our top 3 team scores were used from a score of 41 by Bron & Michelle, 36 points from Aiki & Peggy and 32 points from Gill & Trace. Taking tied 7th. 

Michelle and Bron took tied 3rd in the individual division! Then to top the day off Michelle won a 100's club.......my shout Bron! 🍹

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December.
