Breakers Ladies Golf Club Wamberal

Ladies our Team of 4 Opening Day event is on 12 February. The booking sheet for this day is now open. Be at the Pro Shop at 7.00 for a 7 30 shotgun start. A steak sandwich will be provided after the game before proceeding into the club to get all the information about our 2015 golfing year. This is a most important meeting and you are all encouraged to stay. Even if you can't play on this day it would be beneficial to you to come to the meeting which is scheduled to commence at 1pm. The 2015 Fixtures book and our very informative Fairway News will be handed out. Among the many things to be discussed are: possible name change from Terrigal Ladies Golf  to Breakers; 2015 Pennants Competition; new Club competitions; new Trophy allocations and Divisions and lots, lots more. The presentation for the Summer comp. will also take place. Don't forget to bring extra money with you if you want to join the continuous competition; Stableford shootout and upcoming away games.

A very happy band of 74 red and green Christmas clad golfers took to the course early today to celebrate the end of another great year of golf at our beautiful course. Nicki and Chas greeted us for our early start on a hot, drizzly summer morning. How fortunate we were that the cloud cover remained to make the heat and humidity bearable. Sounds of great laughter and fun echoed across the course - some to celebrate great golf, others to have a laugh at themselves on this fun team day. Outright winners on the day with a fabulous 81 points were the team consisting of Sally Hopkins (11),Janice Adlard (15), Gina Mesiti (29) and Mary Strada (40).  1st Runners/up with an equally great score of 80 points were the team made up of Kerry Moore (45), Carole Malyon (32), Debbie Lorking (45) and Jan Gee (30). 2nd Runners/up with 78 points was the team consisting of Nell Spargo (26), Gabriella Catanzariti (19), Cheryl Baker (20) and Nancy Carey-Berryman (32), and 3rd Runners/up with a very credit...

What fun was it for our team partner to be drawn out of the hat! Made for great competition on the day. The winners on the day with an aggregate score of a great 71 were Marnie I'Anson and Margaret Thorpe. The team of Annette McInnes and Jeanice Gibson were just pipped at the post with a very creditable aggregate of 70. Great game ladies. Results of the individual Stableford on the day were: Division 1.   Aiki Harrigan (17) with 40 points from Di Williams (18) with 39 points. Division 2.   Peggy Searle (30) with 39 points from Rhonda Boothman (31) with 38 points Division 3.   Noela Hilbert (36) with 37 points from Elaine Clark (34) with 35 points Don't forget next week is a shot gun start 7am for 7 30am.  It is our Closing Day. Don't forget to get your ticket to our end of year Christmas lunch and Presentation day. Cost is $25 for golf members or $30 for Social members. Entry is by ticket only. Sally Hopkins or one of the Committee will be selling tickets after golf on Thursday 27 November.

Your Committee for 2015 attended the District Committee Day, Monday 24th at Morisset Golf Club We played 9 holes in very hot and humid weather, so lucky it was only 9 holes. Deanne Curby and Helen Ingle came 2nd, well done girls.  After which there was a lunch where each committee member sits at a table of eg: Secretaries or Captains, it is a great opportunity to get to know the ladies from the other Clubs on the coast and to discuss how some of the other clubs do things and gain some different insights into how things are being done elsewhere. This year they inducted a new Life Member, Judy Swanson, from Shelly Beach Club who has held various positions previously on the District for many years. They also inducted a new Councilor on to the District Committee our very own Molly Chapman.   Congratulations well done and well deserved.   Terrigal now has 2 very prominent Ladies on Joan O'Connell is a life member and now Molly.
