61 ladies competed in this the first Stroke event of the year. The course provided many challenges if you were unfortunate enough to land off the fairways, but not for everyone as the results below show:

Division 1:
Winner.   Sheila Caulfield (18) with a nett score of 67
2nd.         Suzanne Roberts-Noble (21) with a nett score of 73 on a count back
3rd.          Nicola Draper (21) also with a nett score of 73 on a count back
4th.          Janice Adlard (16) also with a nett score of 73

Division 2:
Winner.   Kath Porter (33) with a nett score of 65
2nd.         Judi Eaton (29) with a nett score of 66
3rd.          Lucy Strada (29) with a nett score of 73

Division 3:
Winner.   Aileen Davis (39) with a nett score of 68
2nd.         Ronalda Arnott (35) with a nett score of 69
3rd.          Mary Matthews (45) with a nett score of 71
4th.          Elaine Clarke (35) with a nett score of 72

Gross Winner Across the Field was Sheila Caulfield with 85 off the stick. Well done Sheila!

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. The link to that page is below: https://fundraise.hollows.org/fundraisers/jennychapman   The Fred Hollows Foundation works in over 25 countries and has helped over 3 million people. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
