GOLF THIS THURSDAY 14th


Although there will be numerous cancellations for Thursday's golf, (see  previous blog)  the game will be played as per the fixture book for those who wish to play, provided there are at least 8 players.

However, since there will be a much reduced field, the timesheet needs to be altered. We anticipate hit off times will be from about 8.30-9.10am. Please ring the pro shop on Wednesday for an updated time if you intend to play and ensure you cancel if you are not going to play.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
