RULE   11.1  YOUR BALL IN MOTION ACCIDENTALLY HITS A PERSON OR OUTSIDE INFLUENCE

This rule changed in 2019.

If your ball in motion accidentally hits any person or outside influence, including you, any other player or their caddies or equipment, there is no penalty to any player.  (Rule 11.1a)

If this happens, you must play the ball as it lies (Rule  11.1b)

Also note that there is no penalty if you hit your equipment with your club eg your umbrella in your follow through.

Exception-Ball Played on Putting Green

If your ball hits another ball at rest on the putting green (except in Match Play) and they were both on the putting green before your stroke, you get the general penalty, two strokes.

So, just because you can now putt with the pin in, don’t forget about the other balls on the green. It is still a penalty if you hit one of them.
