1. Jess Tame turning 100!!!

Many of you will remember Jess Tame, one of our Lady Patrons. She is living at Saratoga now, is still very independent  and has recovered well from a small stroke a few months ago. Her 100th birthday is on January 16th.

To celebrate this amazing milestone, her family are having an open day on Sunday 12th January from 11am to 4pm at 140 Broadwater Drive, Saratoga. Golf girls are welcome to pop in and have a chat to the birthday girl, have a glass of wine/cup of tea/whatever, and a bite to eat.

Perhaps you would rather have a chat on the phone. If so, Jess's number is 4308 8242

The committee has also arranged for flowers to be delivered.

2. Poor air quality guidelines.

It is not surprising to hear that Golf NSW has published some guidelines to assist clubs in deciding whether it is appropriate to participate in outdoor activities, in the ongoing bushfire conditions.  Air quality may, of course, be affected by extensive smoke. We will keep you informed of any decisions that may need to be taken.  It is also emphasised that those with respiratory disorders should take appropriate precautions at all times.

3. Litres for Land

Message from Ken Pearson CEO, Breakers Country Club

During the month of December, we transferred the points that members obtained when they swiped their membership card at our entrance terminal to the 'Litres for the Land' campaign. I would like to thank the members for supporting this cause and we estimate that the total contribution from members was $2,000. Breakers have agreed to chip in a further $5,000, bringing the total donation to $7,000.
