Handicap information and continuous comp fees

Not sure how or why, but two ladies finished 18 holes in the heat today, with Ella Merritt managing 36 points. Wow!

Thanks to all those who have paid their fees for the continuous comps. The line won't be too long on Opening Day. If you would like to pay online at any time, you may do so using the following banking details. (see last week's post for costs)

A reminder also, that next week the new World Handicap System will be introduced. While this is happening Golflink will be offline, from about Monday until at least Thursday.
 As a result, OUR COMP NEXT THURSDAY WILL NOT BE HANDICAPPED.

Once it is up and running, it is anticipated that both your GA and daily handicaps will go UP about 1 shot.

On the topic of handicaps, those of you who use the HandyCap app will have noticed some refresh errors recently. It looked as though Golf Australia was no longer going to supply handicap information to the app, which would have had to close. The good news is that they have apparently come to an agreement, and after the new system is introduced next week, the App should be back up running normally. Fingers crossed, as it is a fantastic app, and much simpler to use than Golflink.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate.
