Update Wednesday May 13th 2020

Hi ladies we are endeavouring to keep you update with any news in regards to comp starting again. Many of you have probably heard that Golf NSW are looking at allowing groups of 4 from this Friday. This would enable us to play comp. The following email was sent to Ken this afternoon.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13TH, 2020

Dear Member Clubs and Districts,

Golf NSW has just received advice from the NSW Office of Sport that exemptions to the NSW Public Health Order confirming that golf can be played in groups of four have not yet been executed.

In saying that, Golf NSW’s notification on May 11 advising that Clubs should anticipate playing golf in groups of four from Friday, May 15, remains unchanged.

Golf NSW appreciates the frustration this situation is causing and will notify Clubs as soon as formal approval from the NSW State Government is received.

Yours sincerely,

Stuart Fraser
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

We are working with Ken, the Board and the mens committee and once we receive permission to start playing in groups of 4 we will be able to look at starting 18 hole comp.

Your ladies committee will be meeting next Tuesday to look at the date we will start comp with the above permission, while ensuring we do it in a safe environment for all.

Regards
Ladies Golf Committee
