9 hole results + a little info for next week.

 It was such a nice day that only 5 ladies chose to play 9 holes today.

Congratulations to Noela Hilbert with the winning score of 17 points. We haven't seen her much in recent times but she hasn't forgotten how to play. Well done Noela! Don't forget to collect your ball!

I will mention again that if you opt to play only 9 holes, you will be given an old or social card and it is up to you to put both your name and handicap on the card. We have got a bit too used to relying on the computer to do this for us!! 

Of course we are coming towards the end of our Summer Comp. Next Thursday you will be able to enter your teams for our Opening Day Team of 4 Countdown Stableford, on 11th February. So make sure you are organised. We are even hoping that we may be able to have a Shotgun Start. More details on that to come soon.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
