SUMMER COMP DETAILS

 Hi Ladies,

This is a friendly reminder of our plans for the Summer Comp, which starts tomorrow, weather permitting!

When you get your card in the pro shop, you need to tell Nicky whether you wish to play in the 9 hole or 18 hole comp. The cost will be the same, $16, whichever you choose, as the green fees are the same and so are the prizes. Both 9 and 18 hole scores will be sent to Golf link. Don’t forget that 9 hole scores are only used once you have two of them to join together.

There will only be a ball comp for both 9 and 18 hole comps, with the winners getting 2 balls. Check out the portal each week to see if you are in the winning list. Don’t forget to keep collecting balls from the pro shop before they expire, which happens after 90 days.

In addition, there will be one NTP each week, just on the 2nd hole, first nine only, no divisions.

We are also having a point score for each comp across January, with the prizes to be awarded on Opening Day in February.

This year, our Life Member, Mollie, has offered to do a Gobblers and Birdies comp as well. To keep this simple, it will also only be front nine. Please make sure you put the gobblers on the players card.

Cards will need to be scanned and put in the box in the pro shop.

There will be no presentation. Results will be put on the blog and Facebook each week.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
