A late withdrawal has created a vacancy for Monday in the CCWGA Opening Day at Breakers. If you would like to play and didn't get into a group please contact Colleen ASAP.
Molly Russell-Smith 05/05/1955 - 13/02/26 It is with great sadness that I am writing this post to inform our members that Molly Russell-Smith aged 70 yrs passed away this morning after suffering a stroke yesterday. Molly has been a member at Breakers for 40years and you can see on the Champions Board she has certainly been a Champion golfer as she was a Champion of the course. “Condolences to her family and friends” ⛳
Could any lady that was on the wait list please check the portal to see if you have been allocated a tee booking for tomorrow and I suggest for those left on it please check in the morning again. The last couple of weeks we have had to chase up players as they haven't checked the portal. If a lady is left on their own this means they can't play. Please be mindful of this.
FIRST FRIDAY, XMAS PUTT-OFF Numbers were down for the first Friday, Xmas Putt-Off but the competition was fierce with a number of rounds finishing square and having to go to sudden death knock outs to get a winner. A special mention to Peggy Searle the new Women's Club Captain who was the only women to compete but held her own against all the men. Come on ladies show us your putting skills, there's more hams to be won!!! WINNER OF THE PLATE AND MINI HAM DARREN REEVES MAJOR WINNER AND HAM PETER SEARLE A hard match against Brian Ferrao that also went to sudden death knockout. "A little ironic that I won the first Ham of the season as I am not a meat eater, but as I explained to those offering to buy the ham, my son and grandchildren are carnivorous, so it won't go to waist." "REMEMBER ITS ON AGAIN NEXT FRIDAY 12th AFTER THE BADGE DRAW"
