Results Thursday 3rd February

 And so ends the 2022, 5 week long, Summer Competition for Breakers Ladies Golf. It has been a lot of fun. Mollie and Jenny will be giving the overall results next week. 

Congratulations to Kerrie McInerney who cleaned up in the 18 hole comp today and to Lynne Cattaway who won in the 9 hole comp.

Back to serious golfing. Next Thursday is a shotgun start, be there at 7:00 for a 7:30 start. Remember everyone has to go through the Pro Shop to log in for Covid and also pay their $20 Comp fee. So please be ready to walk onto the course by 7:15 so we can all get away on time. 

Also Deanne will be collecting the entry fee for the Continuous Competition ($25) and the Golf NSW Medal ($5) after golf next week. If you would like to pay your $30 online beforehand that would help keep the lines down. Don't forget to put your name and what you are paying for on the bank transfer details. We are still holding over the stableford shootout $10 from last year. You can check with Deanne whether you have paid this if you can't remember.

Next week speed of play is going to be essential, with everyone on the course at once. If someone in your group happens to go in the water, please send the other players ahead to play their balls. It doesn't take 4 ladies to look for one golf ball!

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
