ENTERING CARDS & UPCOMING EVENTS

Hi Ladies,

Your committee has had a meeting today and would like to fill you in on a few decisions we have made.

ENTERING CARDS

From this week, we are going to  trial a new system for checking cards. When you finish your game, please continue to read out all your scores to check that your marker agrees with your score and also check that the crosses are in the correct place.

Then, when you go into the pro shop to  scan your card, there will be a committee person to check with you that the score on your card is the same as the one you have entered into the computer.

If you have any question about a rule, you can ask the committee person at this point, get a ruling, and then hand your card to them in the pro shop.

QUALIFYING FOR DEBBIE GAUNT "CELEBRATION OF GOLF" DAY

You can see in our Fixture Book  that Thursday 7th April is set down as the Qualifying Day for the Debbie Gaunt Celebration of Golf day, to be held at Breakers on 23rd September.

This is a new event for our district but we are organising it in conjunction with Craig Gaunt, to celebrate women golfers contribution to our community, through their charity work. All clubs will be sending their top four qualifying teams to the final.

The event will be a 2BBB, with no individual event, so you will need a partner. The cost is $5 each to enter, on top of our normal fees. We will be taking the  names, and entry fees, of pairs who wish to enter, over the next three weeks and will be finalising the draw on 31st March.

More details will be given after golf this Thursday.

EASTER FUN DAY

Thursday 14th April is set down as our Easter Novelty Day. This will be a Countdown Team of 4, with cheat sheets to go towards our District charity for this year, Coast CanCare. We have decided also to make it 3 clubs and a putter event for an extra bit of fun. So get your team organised!
