WYONG CLASSIC and SHIELD POSTPONED

 Hi Ladies.

 Unfortunately the Wyong Classic, which was scheduled for Friday 25th March, has been postponed due to the weather. 

Please note important information in the following letter from the Ladies captain, Shona Mitchell.


Dear All,

Following discussions today with Wyong Management, our Head Greenkeeper Kent and the Match Committee, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our premier event the Wyong Ladies Classic and Shield which is due to be played on Friday 25th March 2022.

Our course remains closed at this time with greens, tees and fairways impacted from the recent heavy rains which will result in a long recovery process to bring the course back to its very best.

I will advise you of a new date as soon as possible and look forward to welcoming you back to Wyong for this event. If you could forward this information on to others it would be most appreciated.

 If you are unable to play on the new date you will be fully refunded, or if you require a refund now please email your bank details to Ladiesgolf@wyonggolfclub.com.au and our Treasurer will organise this for you.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
