Golf at last

 The weather finally behaved itself on a Thursday and 35 ladies hit off. Most were surprised at how much the course had dried out. Mind you, it helped that the tees were short!

There were some good scores, particularly Sally with 38!

Don't forget that foursomes entries after golf next Thursday. You can get in touch with Michelle if you aren't going to be here next week. Remember you need a partner and you each pay $4 for the 27 hole event. If you only wish to play in the day event, advise Michelle as you will still need to be in the draw, but no championship entry fee is needed for that.

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
