2BBB Thursday 29th/ District Results

 Hi ladies, just a reminder tomorrow is a 2BBB. You will receive 1 card with you and your partners name and handicap on it. This is the Gwen Thompson Shield qualifier. 5 teams will go through to the CCWGA district final being played at Magenta on Monday September 19th. Please don't scan your cards at the end of your round and if you do not wish to progress through to the final please write at the top of your card NOT QUALIFYING!

Fixture Book change: July 7th is now a Stroke/MM not a Par round.

After 2 long years the Challenge Cup returned following cancellations forced upon us by Covid.

Club teams of 3 women and 3 men, one from each grade, took to the course at Everglades looking to capture the Cup for their respective clubs. After the dust settled local knowledge played an obvious part in the result with Everglades running out the winners with an aggregate stableford score of 189 pts. Breakers runners up posting an aggregate score of 185 👏👏👏 with Kooindah Waters a point further back.

CCWGA FOURSOMES:

This was played at Gosford on Monday 27th

Jill Lavery and Gill Wilson where runners up in 2nd Division with a score of 104 Gross and they also picked up runners up for the Nett 👏👏👏

Vicki Duesbury and Jan Portelli where 3rd in Div 2 with a Gross score of105 👏👏👏

What a fabulous day for golf!! It was especially fabulous for those who played 27 holes.  Today is the first time in quite a few years that this event has not had to be postponed, so a big sigh of relief and another event ticked off the calendar for 2023. Today's full results are in the link below. The Championship prizes will be presented on Presentation Day on 7th December. Tributes for Mollie Chapman

Afternoon everyone, Some of you may wish to show your sorrow at Mollie's passing. Rather than inundate Jenny and her family with flowers, the CCWGA has suggested a donation to Mollie's favourite charity. She was a long time supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation and in discussions with her family, it was decided that perhaps setting up a fundraising page in Mollie's honour would be appropriate. Their focus in Australia is to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Indigenous population. All donations, no matter how small, in Mollie's name will add to her legacy.
