Charity Day

 Wow what a day! 56 ladies played in our Drop off Ambrose event. We also welcomed 7 visitors who joined us from Toukley and Shelly Beach. From the start it was a sea of colour with a lot of laughter and chatter. The purchase of cheat sheets was supported well, and I think finally ladies are learning how to use them to their advantage.


A big thankyou to Aj who stayed for the whole event teeing of the 1st hole for anyone who paid a $2 donation.......... and take a look at the types of first shots he was delivering for us!

Sheryn Fuller has a great throwing talent and technique, giving her team a 2 on the first after throwing out of the bunker straight in the hole!

Once the game was over we all went inside for lunch and raffles. The Committee would like to say a huge thank you to all the very generous donations of vouchers, wines and gifts from our ladies and men's committee for 2 Visa card vouchers. Also, a big thankyou to the local companies who donated vouchers and gifts for the day.
At the end of the day, we raised over $2000 from the sale of cheat sheets, secondhand clothing sales, Aj teeing off and raffle ticket sales.






 Finally, congratulations to the best cheaters (and good golf) who won the top 4 money winners and ball prize winners!

Update Club Champs and other important news

BREAKING NEWS After a committee meeting today we have abandoned August for club champs.  They will now be held  Thursday 25th September,  Thursday 16th October  Thursday 23rd October  A new entry sheet will be circulated early September.  The first two weeks of October are when Golflink will be moving to GolfAustralia Connect and handicap games will be put on hold. We will schedule team games for those two weeks ( pink day now 9th October)  August games have been changed to Stableford and a 9 hole comp has been added as well.  28th August will be the August Monthly Medal.  Tomorrow’s timesheet is unchanged but you are able to pull yourself out if you don’t wish to play.  Also if you are attending Kath Porter’s Funeral on Saturday please wear your club shirt if possible.  Hope to see some of you on the course tomorrow 🤞

Christmas Fun Day

 Well it was a Christmas Fun Day today!! We had everyone decked out in their finest Christmas gear. The weather wasn't too bad - it was hard to tell if we were wet from the rain, or wet from the humidity. The winners today were: Aiki, Sandra, Viv and Peggy Second were: Pauline, Jan C, Sue Carter and Elaine Third were : Chris B, Moya, Monica and Carol The Christmas Raffle today was a big success. Thanks to Linda and her helpers for organising this.  Colleen assisted by Bronwyn (in her game show hostess role) ran the Secret Santa. This, as always, was a lot of fun. That's a wrap for another year. See you all at the AGM next week - 10:30 am start.
